· Extended Wavelength Option

→Near Infrared (NIR)-ECD spectra of metallo-protein and metal complexes are known to be sensitive to conformations of the metal’s ligands as well as the configuration around the central metal atom, which is used for structural analysis of these molecules.

The J-1500 CD spectrometer can be used for spectral measurements into the NIR region using an extended wavelength range light source and detector. In this configuration, the InGaAs detector kit includes a halogen lamp unit and allows for measurement up to 1600 nm.

 

 

1. EXPM-531 | Extended Wavelength option (PMT)

The EXPM-531 is a red-sensitive PMT detector covering the range from 700 to 1,250mm. This has been the traditional method of extending the wavelength range of the CD system into the NIR range.

Exchange is quick and easy, and data from the UV/Visble range can be linked with NIR data in the software.

 

 

 

2. EXIG-532 | Extended Wavelength option (InGaAs)

The EXIG-532 option includes an InGaAs detector combined with a halogen light source that expands the NIR measurement range to 1,600 nm.
